NPR&#8217;s <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/tags\/519003617\/american-health-care-act\">full coverage<\/a> explains <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/health-shots\/2017\/03\/09\/519304881\/5-things-to-watch-with-the-gop-health-law-overhaul\">how those subsidies would be replaced<\/a> with a fixed refundable tax credit and there would be big changes to Medicaid.<\/p>\n<p>NPR and dozens of member stations want to help the public understand where lawmakers in Congress stand as this debate continues.<\/p>\n<p>Our reporting finds that lawmakers&#8217; responses fall into four categories. Most Republicans on the record support the bill, but a large group of the most conservative members are vehemently opposed to the legislation, arguing that it&#8217;s not a sufficient repeal of Obamacare.
