I just thought I was just signing a piece of paper, that I was just going to go do what I love to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Longo kicked for the Basha Bears for two seasons, wearing number 4. As a senior, she made 35 of 38 extra-point attempts and also hit a 30-yard field goal, according to <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.asugrizzlies.com\/news\/2017\/4\/13\/football-signee-becca-longo-to-appear-on-abcs-good-morning-america.aspx\">Adams State<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Blessed and honored to say that I will be continuing my football career in Colorado at Adams State University??? To me, there is no doubt she can be competitive. She&#8217;s ranked among Arizona&#8217;s top 60 hoops players by the <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.maxpreps.com\/athlete\/becca-longo\/9uBK6k0JEea-8KA2nzwbTA\/default.htm\">MaxPreps site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Longo has won new fans and followers with her signing \u2014 but along the way, she&#8217;s also heard from people who told her football is a man&#8217;s sport.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All the time, I get it all the time,&#8221; she told Channel 12. &#8220;I just ignore it, and don&#8217;t listen to it. I just do what I do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Longo has a distant link to another history-making football player: <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.katiehnida.com\/\">Katie Hnida<\/a>, the University of New Mexico kicker who in 2003 became the first woman to score in a Division I football game.
