If we are disrespecting the flag then we won&#8217;t play. Jones said after the game that it was a statement about &#8220;unity&#8221; and &#8220;equality.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Just before her suspension was announced, Hill tried to clarify her statement about Jones, <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jemelehill\/status\/917421938879889408\">tweeting<\/a>, &#8220;I&#8217;m not advocating a NFL boycott. Fire or suspend!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Days earlier, Trump delivered a fiery speech at an Alabama rally, when he used <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/2017\/09\/24\/553214114\/trump-embroiled-in-two-controversies-about-professional-sports-race-and-culture\">an expletive<\/a> against players who kneel. If we are disrespecting the flag then we won&#8217;t play.
