The demolition took some 4,800 pounds of explosives, including about 4,500 pounds of dynamite, <a class=\"colorbox\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myajc.com\/sports\/800-pounds-explosives-slated-bring-down-dome\/C3WSWU7dEYT8b5seYPMgqL\/\">according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Huge blast walls set up around the stadium shielded its successor and next-door neighbor, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
